Korelis Labs is not organized around one technology category. We focus on technical questions where implementation, experimentation, and careful analysis can produce useful answers.

Depending on the problem, that can mean compiler development, low-level systems engineering, operating-system work, security architecture, hardware and platform experimentation, AI and creative systems, or computational and mathematical research.

We are a small team working on ambitious technical programs. The form of the work changes because the question comes first, but the objective remains consistent: get close enough to the difficult boundary to learn what is actually happening.

Korelis approaches research and engineering iteratively. We build enough of the system to test the difficult assumption, run controlled tests where practical, document what actually happened, and change the implementation or interpretation when the result requires it.

The goal is not process for its own sake. It is to move from a difficult question to a result that can guide the next decision.

Scott Shirley

Founder & Lead Researcher

Scott Shirley founded Korelis Labs to pursue technical problems that often fall between conventional research and product development. He leads the company's research and engineering across quantum systems, resilient computing, operating systems, security, experimental platforms, creative computing, and foundational computational research. His work centers on turning difficult technical questions into systems that can be implemented, tested, and challenged by evidence. Across Korelis Labs, that has included quantum compiler and error-correction research, low-level cyber-resilience systems, mainline Linux hardware bring-up, secure mobile architectures, privacy-focused software, AI music systems, and computational investigations of relational geometry. He also sets the technical direction for the broader Korelis research portfolio.

Ryan Rock

Co-Founder, Music Systems

Ryan Rock leads music systems development for Callio, Korelis Labs' creator-focused AI music platform. His work spans music theory, composition systems, genre and taxonomy modeling, generative audio experimentation, and the technical evaluation of rendering approaches. Before Korelis Labs, Ryan worked across clinical research, ophthalmic care, production quality assurance, and technical operations. His experience includes coordination of post-approval ophthalmology studies and quality-focused work in production environments. That background informs a measurement-driven approach to Callio: isolate variables, test assumptions, compare results, and change direction when the evidence does not support the original approach.

Brady Brown

Growth, Community & Business Development

Brady Brown leads growth, community, and business development efforts for Korelis Labs, helping translate the company's technical work into clear public communication, build its presence across social platforms, and develop relationships and opportunities around the Korelis portfolio. Before Korelis Labs, Brady worked in regulated production environments involving advanced chemical processing systems and tightly controlled manufacturing workflows. At Korelis Labs, he brings that operations-focused background to the business side of a company centered on deep technology, research, and complex technical systems.
